I'm not much of a blogger but I do like posting about things I think are awesome. I've been listening to the musical stylings of Dr. Steel a lot lately and the other day he posted a new video. So I am inclined to share. If you don't know who Dr. Steel is, check out www.doctorsteel.com and www.toysoldiersunite.com.
And now... It's the Dr. Steel Show!
And now... It's the Dr. Steel Show!
Its been a very VERY busy last month or two for us. Between work, getting treatments for my back, getting ready to move, and other responsibilities we just haven't had any free time or money lately.
We both miss all of our friends and as soon as we can find the time and the cash we will be hanging out and doing stuff again.
My schedule lately has been:
Get up at the ass crack of dawn to get to my stressful as fuck job as early as I can.
Work until I have to go to the doctors office that is 45 mins away.
Treatment for about an hour and a half then drive 45 mins back to work.
Work extra late to make up for the time I'm missing from the doc office and to make a little extra cash for the move and shit.
On the weekends I'm usually back at work again or packing stuff up to get ready for the move... or I'm just dead tired and getting some rest.
Really hope no one is feeling neglected but we have responsibilities to take care of right now. Once we're moved, my back is better, and some bills are paid off we'll be back to normal.

Dedicated to the memory of NDN
Please come out and support his memory and our drive to collect donations in order to get a unique floral design for NDN. We will get something symbolizes his time with our scene and that has a silk ribbon to be signed by all the friends...
Please re-post this bulletin as I only have so many friends on my own list!

I'm gonna miss the big guy.
I first met him about 6 years ago back during Revolution days at The Other Side. One of my first memories of him was at Halloween when he was wearing a hooded black mask with eye stalks all over it. Kind of like a Beholder.
We started seeing more and more of each other recently with him coming out to parties and gatherings more often, plus I would see him downtown a lot. We worked near each other and would sometimes see each other when getting out of work.
The last time I saw, talked with, and bear hugged him was last week at the Haujobb show. Before that I was standing downtown in front of his job talking about how he was going to have a week long birthday party and was heading to Dallas to go to Medieval Times for his birthday. I never got to find out if he went or not...
I wish I had gone and hung out with him around his birthday. We were low on funds and had a lot of things going on.
No one ever knows when something this tragic is going to happen, I just wish I had been able to spend more time with him. But I do appreciate the times I did spend with him whether it was playing with the eye stalks on his halloween mask, the passing hello's as I was rushing back to work on my lunch break, trying to catch him as he was falling on Tim, or just having a drink with him and talking about nothing.
Remember everything...

Fun Stuff!!
Its time for another Beer and Boobies (and a birthday) party! Bring your beverages of choice and lets have some fun! We will be doing rum punch so if you'd like to contribute it would be appreciated. Party starts at 9pm on July 21st. My place. Message me if you need directions but you should all know where I live by now. It's also Tega's dad's birthday so let's celebrate in style... Debauchery is a style right??
Not so fun stuff...
I wanted to point out that our house is a drug free and an underage drinking free environment. If I don't know you I will card you. You will be going home if this kind of activity is seen. We have issues with kids and an ex-husband so please respect this.
Leave the drama at home. I know most everyone gets along but if there is a threat of drama, please either squelch it or leave. I try to keep my place a no drama zone. Respect my authority!!!

WAY TO GO SETH AND STEVEN!!
Sure its not front page... but they made the news! I wanna know which one fell in and which one jumped in!?

Men Rescued From Arkansas River
KOTV - 6/15/2007 7:27 AM - Updated 6/15/2007 8:33 AM
Two men are rescued from the Arkansas River. The men were drinking on the 11th Street bridge Thursday night when one of the men fell into the river, officials said. The other man jumped into the water to help, but both were swept away. The men floated about a quarter of a mile until they got to a sandbar in the river, said authorities.
A resident at the Westport Apartments saw the men Friday morning and called for help. The Tulsa Fire Department launched a boat and rescued the men.
At last word they were being checked out by EMSA and will be okay.
I'm thinking about cutting my hair... I've had the same look for the last 10 years or so and it may be time for a change. So I may be saying goodbye to my ponytail. Goodbye to it being attached to my head at least. I'm strange and will be keeping it locked away. hah.
I've been talking and thinking about this for a while and I get different reactions out of people. Some are for it some are very vocally against it. My biggest worry is that I'll cut it and not like it. If thats the case I'll probably end up bald. Maybe get some head tattoos. Those will make me look like a bad ass. Ha ha.

Been down... but not out.
Last Wednesday at fighter practice I re-injured my back. I was fighting and I just twisted the wrong way. Felt something pull and I knew I had to stop. It went downhill fast and locked up on me. Couldn't move for a few days but it eased up a bit. Tega had to have been trying to kill me with as much medication as she kept feeding me those first few days! Kidding. She was a great nurse and I'm lucky to have someone that would take such good care of me. One thing I remember was trying to call in to work to tell them I wasn't coming in. I tried three times before I could completely get the number dialed without passing out. I got a cortisone shot yesterday and I'm doing a little better. Still have a bit of constant pain but it's bearable and I can move around and sit down now. Hopefully going back to work tomorrow. This "house arrest" is making me crazy. Heh.
Not sure how long things will take for it to get better again this time. I am going to try an inversion table this time to see if that helps before I go and blow a ton of money on the decompression therapy again. But that decompression helped tremendously. I really hope I can get back out there and fight again soon, but I know I need to get this to a good level again before I can do that. Concentrate on making it through a work day and walking around normally again before anything else.
Thanks to Shanna for taking me to the docs yesterday, you were a life saver. Cherry of course. LOL
Thanks to Joy for calling to check up on me, that was really cool and I appreciated it very much. It really stuck out in my mind when I came out of my prescription drug induced haze.
Thanks to everyone else that contacted me online and asked how things were. I'm really glad to know I have friends that really care. You guys are awesome. We're in the downtime for SCA stuff and I really hope to get out and do a lot of other fun things during the summer!
Random thought:
How the hell can rolling a hoop and tapping it with a stick be fun?? Even if there was nothing else fun invented... I can't see how that can be a good time. There's always one kid doing the sticking and two other kids running behind him.

Awesome... Weird guy that works near me is talking about his vasectomy and how he's "taking care of himself" to get rid of all his stuff and jacking into a cup for the doc. YOU'D THINK HE'D HAVE THE SENSE TO GO AWAY FROM HIS DESK FOR THIS CONVERSATION!!!

I first saw the badgers thing after you posted it a looooong time ago. I just found this today and I dedicate its reposting to you.

Go see AXIS tonight at the Eagle!
They are way better than these guys...
There may be the same amount of singer on guitarist loving though...
Wow... had some coffee earlier this morning and it was potent. Got a regular coffee with an extra shot of espresso. I'm usually good with this combination but this morning I am buzzing hardcore. I was all ready to get energized and work through a ton of orders here at work... but now I'm zooming and the computers are SLOW! Damn!! The world is on slow mo and I am at Warp 6!
More on coffee... why the hell is it that I can't find a decent ice coffee aside from 3 places. Starbucks, Norma Jeans, and that Thai place on 21st and Memorial. Everyone else just looks at me like I'm a fucking mutant because I want cold coffee poured over ice. Its not rocket science people! I know I'm not the only person in Tulsa that likes it!

Pyrotech-C3H8 posted this today and I thought I'd share its awesomeness with my friends here.
More epic than watching a bunch of digital midgets get lost on a nature hike in Lord of the Rings...
Considerably less gay than Tom Cruise in Legend... (Tim Curry Rocks!)
It's...

Wanted to start off and say that the Necessary Response CD is really good. Tega got it at the Armageddon Dildos show and it rocks. Their myspace is http://www.myspace.com/necessaryrespons e for anyone interested.
In other news, I had a really good weekend. Lots of fun hanging out with friends and celebrating Shanna's birthday. We'll have our pictures up soon and Tega will post them on her blog.

Had a lot of fun at karaoke last night. Had a good amount of friends there too, which is always a blast. My voice is still shot after the yelling at Gulf and I was struggling pretty bad with the songs I sang. Guess I need a bit more time for my voice to heal up all the way.
Reverend Horton Heat this Friday!! WOO! Can't wait!
